Tell Your Friends!
A community-led, music lit, Black joy inspired ride through the town.
About this Event
A Black joy bike parade! All you need is a set of wheels and a love for Black community to join this free event.
Meet others riders. Pass by some of our most important cultural spots. Roll out to some of Oakland’s best DJs.
Ride begins at 12pm at Alameda Superior Courthouse and goes for 12 miles through town before ending at Lake Merritt Amphitheater.
All ages and wheels are welcome.
There will be amplified sound throughout the ride, but we encouraged you to bring your own portable speaker and tune into adp.fm so we can all vibe to the same sounds. We’re excited to have sounds provided by the town’s finest @djladyryan @DJKream & @fiveminusdeuce.
WHAT TO WEAR
This is an outdoor, socially distanced event so please dress accordingly: helmet, mask, shoes you can comfortably ride in, layers to stay warm (Bay Area!), a fanny-pack or something to keep your personal items secure.
Feeling spirited?! Show up in your favorite Black Joy Parade swag.
